Payroll Specialist

As a Payroll Specialist at Equiliem, you will be responsible for preparing and paying wages and salaries, as well as maintaining related records in SAP. You will execute accurate service processes related to Payroll services for an assigned group of employees, ensuring appropriate support for internal customers and overseeing accurate and timely processing of information with all stakeholders.
Main Accountabilities:
- Process payroll and associated maintenance for respective employees, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of salaries and wages
- Process all new starters, terminations, master file changes
- Manage time attendance system
- Maintain pay records, associated time keeping data and statistics, leave records and related information
- Maintain award data and ensure payments comply with awards, arbitrated decisions and consent agreements
- Prepare information and documents for external authorities
- Establish positive internal working relationships and provide fast and efficient customer service to all employees in relation to payroll related queries.
- Ensure execution and delivery according to defined Service Level Agreement(s)
- Recommend enhancements and simplification of existing processes and procedures based on experience with customers
- Communicate comprehensive and adequate knowledge of policies and standards on assigned processes as needed
- Ensure compliance with Group and external regulatory requirements
Required knowledge & skills:
- 0-5 years' experience of payroll administration, ideally for large employee population
- Understanding of all functions related to payroll
- Sound knowledge of computerized pay systems, ideally SAP and general personnel procedures
- Ability to collaborate within the broader business at a senior level
- Ability to manage multiple demands and prioritize effectively and work with cross-functional teams
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with high attention to detail
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure, with a 'can-do' attitude
- Fluent English language skills
