Responsibilities of the Law and Motion Attorney

  • Draft legal documents such as correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for negotiations and proceedings.
  • Prepare diverse pleadings, including oppositions, demurrers, discovery motions, and trial-related documents.
  • Evaluate client legal issues, analyze options, and diligently pursue the most effective strategies.

Responsibilities of the Trial Attorney

  • Participate in court hearings and legal proceedings, conduct legal research, and collaborate with senior attorneys to offer legal guidance.
  • Present affirmative motions and oppositions in court settings.
  • Conduct unlawful detainer trials, both bench and jury.

Qualifications

  • Creative and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legal authorities and case law.
  • Effective communication with clients to assess case details.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Admission to the California Bar is required.
  • Preferred experience in Unlawful Detainers.
  • Ability to prepare various legal documents and maintain organized client files.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case management.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide sound legal advice.

Education
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is mandatory.
Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) is required.
Successful completion of the state bar exam is essential.
A willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet client needs and expand our client base is highly valued.
