Position: Maintenance Reliability Engineer
Location: USA
Compensation: approx. $130k-$140k annually
This role is classified as safety sensitive and will require participation in random drug testing as mandated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute strategies aimed at enhancing existing maintenance methodologies to boost equipment efficiency, reliability, and reduce repair expenditures.
- Utilize company expertise to elevate current maintenance and reliability initiatives through improved communication and sharing of best practices on a global scale.
- Design and provide thorough maintenance and reliability training programs for maintenance personnel worldwide.
- Identify necessary equipment and process enhancements, managing related projects effectively.
- Collaborate with global operations teams to synchronize maintenance efforts in pursuit of operational excellence, emphasizing waste reduction in a Lean Manufacturing context.
- Engage with cross-functional teams (Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure operational efficiency in new facilities and expansions, considering life cycle costs in global equipment procurement.
- Oversee maintenance department staff, focusing on their professional growth through performance management and personalized development opportunities.
- Coordinate planned maintenance activities with Maintenance Technicians, providing guidance on maintenance and equipment inquiries, ensuring access to current maintenance procedures, and fostering effective team communication.
- Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, planned and predictive maintenance, spare parts inventory, and maintenance history of equipment globally.
- Analyze operational metrics and equipment performance data to drive improvements in key maintenance indicators, including unplanned downtime and maintenance costs.
- Initiate and manage the plant maintenance program, adhering to industry best practices with a focus on planning, preventive and predictive maintenance, and safety policies.
Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing:
- Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing OE tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Standard Work.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to align with corporate Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) vision and methodologies.
- Integrate Lean Manufacturing principles to foster change and achieve cost efficiencies.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing maintenance supervision and technical support.
- Hands-on experience with wet and dry chemical or minerals processing equipment, maintenance management systems, and preventive/predictive maintenance is essential.
- Preference for candidates with substantial Lean/TPM experience.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude necessary for training and auditing work in plant processes.
- Strong understanding of Operational Excellence, including Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S and Kaizen.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects while supporting global business objectives.
