About the Role:

  • Design new synthetic targets independently and in a hypothesis-driven manner based on emerging SAR data.
  • Lead or co-lead multi-disciplinary discovery programs and advance them to critical milestones.
  • Develop and execute multistep syntheses of complex organic molecules using modern organic chemistry techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medicinal chemistry principles, synthetic methods, and reaction mechanisms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of academic or industry experience.
  • OR Master's Degree and 6+ years of academic or industry experience.
  • OR Ph.D. and 4+ years of academic or industry experience.
  • Demonstrated record of productivity in organic or medicinal chemistry research as evidenced by publications and/or patents.
  • Strong skills in gathering, documenting, and analyzing information from competitive sources such as patents and meetings.
  • Emerging understanding of the drug discovery and development process.
  • Naturally collaborative and self-motivated style.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • A competitive salary range of $121,000 - $167,270, depending on experience.
