Job Summary

Blount Fine Foods is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Assistant Filler Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate filling of retail and bulk products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Filler and Blending Operators to ensure the efficient and accurate filling of retail and bulk products.
  • Follow established recipes and HACCP steps to ensure correct completion of all recipes to pre-determined standards.
  • Communicate effectively with department members to ensure the most efficient and highest quality processing and filling possible.
  • Ability to learn, operate, and adjust multi-head filler processing equipment.
  • Ability to input production data accurately and in a timely manner in the production database.
  • Assist the Filler Operator with setup, breakdown, and preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Assist the Filler and Blending Operator as needed.
Positional Accountabilities:
  • 100% adherence to all recipe designs; no deviations.
  • 100% adherence to all company GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures); no deviations.
  • Ability, through training and appropriate time in the position, to run, adjust, break down, and reassemble job-specific processing equipment.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Machine Operators to ensure the efficient execution of all recipes.
  • Understand the implications of downtime and inefficient processing.
  • Understand how to react to such matters to minimize downtime incurred.
  • Contribute to a proactive approach to address future downtime obstructions.
  • Update the Supervisor on efficiencies and any hindrances to the process.
  • Offer recommendations and solutions to such matters.
  • Utilize designated paperwork/systems to track, verify, and adjust efficiencies.
  • Be prepared to explain successes and opportunities.
  • Responsible for real-time position-specific inventory control.
  • Accurate and efficient use of floor-level inventory tracking systems.
  • Responsible for any and all line product being put on hold or deemed waste as a result of line error or inefficiencies.
  • Responsible for any and all line downtime related to your processing line/equipment.
