Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our Imaging Department at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality computed tomographic radiographs to patients in accordance with physicians' orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for CT exams, explaining procedures and ensuring technical quality.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education.
  • Possess knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to work accurately within the Imaging Department.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff/student.
  • Work as a team player and meet the needs of the Imaging Department.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSRT degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
  • Current licensure by the Texas Department of Health as an MRT is required.
  • Current registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) is required.
  • Advanced certification in CT required within 6 months of employment.
  • Previous experience in CT in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification is required.

We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services, including a Level III Trauma Center and a 30+ bed NICU. Our Women's Services include L&D and a children's hospital within our main facility. We work with the Texas Transplant Institute to serve local patients in need of organ, tissue, or stem cell transplants.
