Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Bayhealth. As a key member of our Cath Lab team, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, as well as assisting physicians in placing catheters into coronary arteries and peripheral arteries and veins.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing patients for procedures and setting up rooms for safe and efficient delivery of care.
  • Obtain hemostasis safely after procedures.
  • Utilize x-ray equipment accurately and independently.
  • Ensure radiation safety compliance during procedures.
  • Accurately monitor and document all procedures performed in the Cath Lab.
  • Assist with procedure room turnover after every procedure, following Infection Control protocol.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in education, workshops, and current literature.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Sciences or Cardiovascular Technology.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Technologist, Radiography (RT(R)).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Eighteen (18) months of experience in diagnostic radiology or completion of an accredited radiologic technology or Cardiovascular Technology program.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology, and two (2) years of experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
