Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Anesthesiologist to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing pain relief and maintenance or restoration of a stable condition during and immediately following an operation or an obstetric or diagnostic procedure.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in anesthesiology and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat acute, longstanding, and cancer pain problems, as well as provide medical management and consultation in pain management and critical care medicine.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
- Perform and/or interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
- Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.
- May prescribe or administer medications.
- Prepare, maintain, and review records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
- License to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania.
