We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in an inpatient rehab setting. This is a full-time opportunity with a 0.90 FTE, day position.
Job SummaryThis role involves assisting professional nursing personnel in delivering quality patient care by performing various tasks related to direct and indirect patient care. The successful candidate will possess basic nursing assistant procedures and techniques under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities- Assist in providing direct patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse within the scope of the CNA licensure.
- Perform basic technical skills including CPR, taking and recording vital signs, measuring and recording fluid intake/output, applying dressings, recognizing and reporting signs and symptoms of common diseases or conditions, administering treatments as directed by a physician or nurse.
- Assist patients with personal care including bathing, mouth and skin care, grooming and dressing, toileting assistance, eating and hydration.
- Provide patients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
- Maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas to meet patient care needs.
- Documents relevant patient care data.
- May provide clerical support to the unit, including order entry, chart processing, answering telephones, etc.
- Accredited Program Required: Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred; experience in an acute care facility.
- Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs.
- Certified Nurse Assistant - Oregon required at time of hire.
