Job Overview

Venturi Supply is a leading distributor of engineered products and industrial supplies, serving a wide range of mission-critical end markets across the United States.

We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team in Canonsburg, PA, responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials for our Venturi Energy Segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate prices and complete purchase requisitions for requested supplies and materials.
  • Initiate purchase orders using our Eclipse system.
  • Identify cost-effective sources for supplies and materials that meet customer specifications.
  • Monitor order statuses and communicate with coworkers and customers.
  • Follow up on orders as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between the Purchasing Department and internal customers, management, and vendors.
  • Communicate with coworkers, management, suppliers, and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • PVF experience is required.
  • Experience in the energy or industrial industry is necessary.
  • Experience supporting/buying from multiple branches coast to coast.
  • 2+ years of experience in buying or purchasing roles, preferably in the Energy market.
  • Experience in essential negotiations, cost analysis, and supplier agreements.
  • Experience coordinating with suppliers to resolve supplier quality concerns, invoicing issues, and past-due accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with team members, clients, and suppliers.
  • Organized, attention to detail, confidentiality, self-directed.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office Word and Excel and an inventory management system – preferably Eclipse.
  • Ability to pass drug and background checks.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
