About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to join our team at TransTech Energy. As an Accounting Professional, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Department with month-end close and reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Setup and Invoicing:
    • Set up new customers in our accounting system and generate customer invoices with supporting documentation.
    • Create monthly customer statements, manage past due communications, and maintain customer invoice submission platforms.
    • Collect payments from customers and accurately record them in our accounting system.
    • Reconcile customer invoice details to internal and external systems.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Prepare weekly vendor payment lists.
    • Verify and complete the payment of bills associated with accounts payable, ensuring proper approvals.
    • Ensure payments are recorded to the correct accounts.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any accounts payable-related inquiries.
  • Payroll Coordination:
    • Prepare and submit payroll timecards to the Payroll Specialist.
    • Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and work with the Payroll Specialist to resolve them.
    • Assist the Payroll Specialist with paying for payroll liabilities and related reconciliations.
  • General Accounting:
    • Assist project teams with various reports, AR aging updates, and filling out vendor credit applications.
    • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly.
    • Perform general accounting, cost accounting, and other related duties for the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
