Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric Medicine

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Washington. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing integrated behavioral health treatment to clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and assess mental health & physical health status at routine appointments
  • Prescribe & monitor psychotropic medications and educate clients & their support system about the medications purpose, appropriate dosage, and possible side effects
  • Collaborate with each client to create an individualized treatment plan
  • Educate staff, clients, and other community partners about individual mental health needs
  • Follow trauma-informed principles in all aspects of client care
  • Assess clients for safety and risk to self or others, and take appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated
  • Complete all documentation & charting in a timely, client-centered manner
  • Participate in on-call and rounding rotations for our inpatient facilities, if placed in Yakima or nearby location

Requirements:

  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license with psychiatric certification & Registered Nurse license (both in Washington State), federal DEA certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certification, Driver's License, Vehicle Liability Insurance
