Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Assistant plays a vital role in the success of Kuhn North America, Inc. by providing administrative support to the Logistics Department. This position requires a high level of interaction with various departments, including Sales Support, Regional Distribution Centers, and Purchasing.

• Prepare and process documents for domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with US Customs/Border Patrol and foreign customs administrations.
• Obtain freight quotes and coordinate international transportation with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Effectively communicate shipment status and delivery dates with key contacts.
• Participate in logistics planning meetings to optimize freight and shipping performance.
• Provide administrative support for import and export Customs Compliance Program.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound container traffic with the Shipping Department.
• Review freight invoices and allocate freight cost in the business system.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of related administrative assistant experience in an international sales/logistics function is preferred.
• Proficient keyboarding skills and knowledge of basic Microsoft Excel and Word, PowerPoint, Internet, SharePoint, OneDrive, and e-mail functions is required.
