Driver Trainee

Rumpke Transportation Company, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Driver Trainee to join our team. As a Driver Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training to become a skilled driver.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide waste or recycling removal services to customers on assigned routes and haul materials to disposal sites.
• Clean up spills and overflows, and maintain accurate records of routes and customer interactions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and complete necessary logs and reports.
• Develop strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card within 10 days of employment.
• Must obtain a Class B CDL permit within 60 days of employment and a Class B CDL within 90 days.
• Must have no more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years and no DUIs or OVI's within the last 5 years.
• Must be able to read and understand a map, and perform physical requirements of the job.

Working Conditions:

• May be exposed to high traffic conditions and tight driving areas.
• May be exposed to residential and commercial waste.
• May be required to travel between offices and work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
