Recovery Counselor

At Charles River Recovery, we are seeking a skilled Recovery Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide support to enhance the quality of patient care by working directly with patients in a treatment setting.

• Provide direct support to patients through 1-to-1 sessions and group facilitation.
• Complete patient assessments and ensure quality documentation.
• Engage patients through recovery-oriented activities and support community intervention.
• Facilitate patient engagement and re-engagement sessions as needed.
• Participate in AA blocking and provide direct support to patients to encourage continuity of care.
• Support the clinical/case management team and document patient interactions.
• Responsible for visitation hours and patient supervision.
• Provide support in family sessions and to Recovery Support Specialists.

• Associate degree in behavioral health science or related field preferred.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• 1 year experience in substance use treatment or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
