Position Overview

Mission Veterinary Partners is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician to enhance our dynamic team. Compensation: Competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $26 based on experience, alongside a $2000 sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

The Licensed Veterinary Technician will play a vital role in leading and training the medical support team, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols while delivering top-notch care to our patients. This position requires effective communication with both team members and clients, along with a keen attention to detail.

Essential Duties:

  • Uphold the core values and mission of Mission Veterinary Partners.
  • Guide support staff to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
  • Mentor colleagues for career advancement and personal growth.
  • Assist in performance evaluations for team members.
  • Provide medical care under the supervision of a veterinarian.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients.
  • Accurately document all relevant medical and client information.
  • Address client inquiries regarding basic animal care and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with client scheduling, payment processing, and check-ins.
  • Respond to phone inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Contribute to training program feedback and improvements.
  • Participate in job shadowing or interviews as needed.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in various veterinary skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and surgical techniques.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of medication dosages and common side effects.
  • Familiarity with anesthesia protocols and patient recovery.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • State licensing is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the veterinary field is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving animals.
  • Capability to work in a busy environment with various sounds and stimuli.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for operating equipment.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel may be necessary for training and vendor interactions.
