Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit knowledge of patient growth and development, and provide care tailored to the specific needs of diverse patient populations.
  • Promote customer service excellence in alignment with the values of Skyline Medical Center.
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly.
  • Utilize the Nursing Process to address individual patient needs effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills and medical procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
  • Assess patient conditions upon admission and throughout shifts, reporting any changes.
  • Execute medical orders as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or a compact state.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
