Position: Bilingual Human Resources Specialist
Location: Remote
Compensation: $19-21 per hour
SUMMARY:
Under the general oversight of the Human Resources Director, this role involves managing various administrative tasks within the human resources department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all HR documentation is current and readily available.
- Oversee the identification badge system and issue replacements as necessary.
- Prepare Prox/ID cards and manage parking permits.
- Notify security regarding access changes and deactivate prox cards as needed.
- Compile new hire documentation and conduct audits prior to filing.
- Process termination paperwork and manage I-9 documentation for record-keeping.
- Input payroll maintenance items such as W-4 forms, address updates, and direct deposit information into the payroll system.
- Administer time-off requests and address missed clock-ins for payroll processing.
- Provide training to employees on timekeeping and employee self-service systems.
- Monitor disciplinary actions and maintain records in the point system.
- Prepare monthly insurance documentation for new employees.
- Reconcile monthly insurance statements.
- Maintain employee personnel files, ensuring proper organization and filing.
- Address vending machine issues and liaise with vendors.
- Assist in new hire orientation processes.
- Order supplies for the HR department.
- Log incoming job applications.
- Translate documents as required.
- Keep bulletin boards updated with relevant information.
- Support projects and open enrollment activities as needed.
- Assist with training initiatives.
- Help coordinate company employee events.
- Manage employment verification requests for current and former employees.
- Digitally archive active and terminated employee files.
- Provide assistance to employees with inquiries.
- Safeguard all proprietary information and maintain confidentiality regarding employee data.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and sources of information simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Must also possess the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply knowledge of human resource regulations and policies to identify and resolve issues.
