Position Overview:
Estimator
Key Responsibilities Include:


1. Generate comprehensive building cost estimates by scrutinizing plans and specifications while executing quantity take-offs for selected trades using advanced software tools.

2. Formulate and prepare conceptual estimates with minimal subcontractor input, leveraging limited preliminary design documents.

3. Cultivate subcontractor interest in projects and oversee the RFP process for subcontractors.

4. Evaluate and standardize subcontractor proposals based on project requirements.

5. Break down trade-specific scopes and assemble bid packages.

6. Create detailed critical path job schedules.

7. Continuously promote the company and seek future growth opportunities.

8. Uphold confidentiality and discretion at all times.

9. Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities to align project objectives, schedules, permits, and costs.


Qualifications:
1. A proactive leader who takes full ownership of their responsibilities.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a minimum of 5 years of construction estimating experience.
3. Experience with Federal Government projects is advantageous.
4. Extensive understanding of industry standards, practices, and market dynamics.
5. Highly organized, capable of planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple assignments.
6. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
7. Proficient in commercial estimating software.
8. Maintain professionalism under tight deadlines.
9. Exceptional leadership, communication, and writing skills.
10. Ability to build and sustain positive professional relationships across all levels of personnel.
11. Meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
12. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
13. Review software-generated estimates for completeness and technical precision, ensuring quality and integrity.
