We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team at Unisource Assembly Corporation. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to ensure projects are completed within budget and according to schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate technical engineering initiatives to ensure projects are completed within budget and according to schedule
- Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track
- Manage 2-3 direct reports
- Develop and execute customized content by understanding the design the customer is seeking and translating it into manufacturable work
- Make effective decisions when presented with technical hitches or multiple options for how to progress with a project
- Troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes
- Review production costs, schedules, and future production requirements to assist management in decision making
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team
- Adjusting schedules and targets on projects as needs change
- Ensure validity of methods used by staff
About You
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who can handle all the resources and coordination from a technical standpoint. You must be able to set and achieve objectives, ensure both top quality and control of the project, handle client and vendor interaction, and act as the subject expert.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of related experience in electronic assembly, project management, technical writing, or continual improvement
- Knowledge of drawings, schematics, and industry standards (such as IPC-620)
- Experience with determining the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension
- Self-motivated and driven
- Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Etc.)
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Familiarity with terminals, crimpers, or Zuken Harness Builder is a plus
