- Quantity Takeoff and Estimating: Perform quantity takeoffs and estimates for construction projects, including self-performed work in concrete, masonry, steel, carpentry, and equipment setting.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and superintendents to develop construction plans and estimates, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Historical Cost Database Management: Maintain and use JP Cullen's historical cost database to ensure accurate and efficient estimating.
- Bid Preparation and Negotiation: Prepare bids and negotiate with subcontractors to ensure a complete scope of work and optimal pricing.
- Preconstruction Services: Provide preconstruction services, including conceptual estimating and analysis of subcontractor bids.
- Education: Four-year college degree in construction, engineering, and/or business, or completion of an apprenticeship and an internship experience in a construction-related position.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in estimating, preferably in the construction industry.
