Exercise Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Specialist to join our team at Seneca Health Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing exercise prescription programs for at-risk and diseased populations.

• Develop and implement exercise prescription programs for at-risk and diseased populations.
• Provide assessment and exercise supervision to all age groups.
• Conduct graded exercise testing for healthy and diseased populations.
• Provide patient counseling and education on functional anatomy, exercise physiology, pathophysiology, gerontology, and human behavior/psychology.
• Monitor the safety and function of fitness equipment.
• Conduct group exercise instruction for all age groups.
• Provide emergency procedures related to exercise testing and training situations.
• Participate in Health Team planning, community assessment, goal setting, and evaluation of Health Promotion and Wellness Programs.
• Develop and supervise specific conditioning programs to increase athletic performance.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science Program, Master's Degree preferred.
• CPR certification, First Aid Certification desirable.
• Ability to perform EKG testing and interpretation.
• Knowledge of the basic aspects of the acute and chronic effects of exercise on all major organ systems and the basic prescription of exercise.
