Aquatics Program Instructor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatics Program Instructor to join our team at Stoughton High School Pool. As a key member of our aquatics program, you will be responsible for the education and safety of participants in our Swim Lesson Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and implementation of swim instruction
• Ensure the safety of all individuals in and around the pool
• Work cooperatively with students, families, and staff to create a positive learning environment
• Maintain all required certifications and licenses
• Promote acceptance of differences among students, staff, and community members

Requirements:

• Current certification in ARC Water Safety Instructor (ages 17 & older) or ARC WSI Aide (ages 17 and younger)
• Current certification in First Aid and CPR from a nationally recognized association
• Prior experience with swim instruction or involvement/participation in an organized swim environment
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Ability to follow directions

Working Conditions:

The Aquatics Program Instructor will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking, squatting, reaching, and stair climbing. The position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds constantly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
