At Raytheon, we are seeking a highly skilled Semiconductor Wet Process Engineer Lead to join our III-V process development team working on gallium nitride-based devices and III-V focal plane array fabrication within the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and execute process development efforts, assist in process sustainment, improve product yield, develop new processes and device capabilities, and assist in the creation of new technology discriminators in a III-V semiconductor wafer foundry.
- Develop proof of concept demonstrations of novel semiconductor processes, identify yield and process improvement opportunities, gather sponsorship and team resources, and execute on continuous improvement activities.
- Work autonomously with limited oversight, manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility, and provide input or guidance to lower-level professionals with tasks and assignments.
- Communicate with parties within and outside of own department, including customers and vendors, and influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 8 years' of prior work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' of prior work experience, or a PhD and a minimum 3 years' of prior work experience.
- Experience in semiconductor processing techniques such as photo lithography, dry etching, wet etching, plating, metals evaporation, and optical or scanning electron microscope inspections.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required post-start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Master's or PhD in STEM.
- Experience in semiconductor processing techniques in wet etch, wet cleans, and plating process areas.
- Experience working in a controlled, cleanroom environment.
- Experience troubleshooting a diverse set of fabrication equipment in addition to establishing equipment qualification and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing methods (e.g., Six Sigma).
