About the Position

This challenging and rewarding opportunity is with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works. As an Associate Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the development of public works projects, including roads, highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to design and develop public works projects
  • Coordinating with external stakeholders, including consultants and contractors
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Managing budgets and resources to deliver projects within scope and timeline

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • A valid California State Certificate of Registration as a Civil Engineer
  • A valid California Class C Driver License or alternative transportation method
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
