Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic imaging tests, including general, cardiac, and positron studies. You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare radiopharmaceuticals from commercially available kits and/or recipes for use in patient studies.
  • Determine radiopharmaceutical to be utilized based upon established guidelines, consulting with physician when necessary.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patient and complete testing to include general, cardiac, and positron studies.
  • Perform intra-venous peripheral catheter insertion as authorized by Nuclear Medicine physician.
  • Complete testing for outpatients within Cardiology, acquire/process/reconstruct images when appropriate.
  • Label patient images with such data as radiopharmaceutical amount, time of the injection, equipment utilized, and additional patient study related information etc., in accordance with ACR requirements.
  • Archive patient data to PACS for long term storage.
  • Retrieve appropriate patient studies for review and comparison with previous studies.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in NM Technology preferred or BS in unrelated field with a certificate in NM Technology preferred.
  • Radiologic technologist (Nuclear Medicine) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • ARRT or NMTCB certification.
  • 12 years experience. Recent graduates considered.
