Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Attorney or Patent Agent to join our team in a remote work arrangement. Your primary responsibilities will be dependent on your legal experience and/or technical background.

You may specialize in engineering, including electrical, software, mechanical, computer, software, biomedical, materials, chemical), physics, or life sciences (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry).

This is a full-time opportunity that offers flexibility regarding the nature of the role. You could work part-time (at least 25 hours per week) or full-time, and we are looking for a great long-term fit.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and prosecution of US patents
  • Strategic portfolio counseling
  • Patent opinions (validity, infringement, right to use, patentability)
  • Possible PTAB, licensing, and trademark work as well
Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

  • A minimum BS in Engineering (MS or higher preferred), or a PhD in life sciences
  • The Patent Bar (and any State Bar for an associate) are required
  • At least 7 years of solid US patent preparation and prosecution experience
