Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and assisting the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service by acknowledging, assisting, and appreciating customers
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return
  • Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals
  • Monitor quality assurance standards and take appropriate action
  • Embody the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety
Requirements
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Current food handlers permit once employed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comparable retail experience
  • Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
  • Role model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers
