Harvest Midstream Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipeline Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and controlling the safe, healthy, and environmentally sound operations of our gas/oil pipelines.
Key Responsibilities- Daily Pipeline Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of our lease automatic custody transfer (LACT) facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Third-Party Contractor Oversight: Oversee oil LACT proving activities conducted by third-party contractors to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks in LACT facilities to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Testing and Quality Control: Perform shake outs or grind outs using company-furnished testing equipment to ensure pipeline integrity.
- Housekeeping and Safety: Perform general housekeeping duties inside company-operated facilities and equipment to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Right-of-Way Inspections: Conduct routine right-of-way inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Pipeline Marker Replacement: Replace pipeline markers as needed to ensure accurate pipeline identification.
- Pipeline Locates: Conduct pipeline locates using company-furnished equipment to identify pipeline locations.
- Foreign Line Crossings: Observe foreign line crossings to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Pipeline Pigging Operations: Capable of performing pipeline pigging operations to clean and inspect pipelines.
- Contractor Oversight: Oversee the work of outside contractors on company property and/or within company facilities.
- Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with other company departments, work groups, and outside contractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure continuous operation of equipment by following preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Safety and Compliance: Inspect piping and equipment for safety problems, leaks, wear and tear, and make or recommend appropriate repairs and maintenance to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Log Maintenance: Maintain logs of meter readings, test results, and adjustments made to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- SCADA System Monitoring: Capable of observing and interpreting information displayed within company's supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.
- Company Values and Vision: Adhere to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation - and support the company vision and mission.
- Attendance and Punctuality: Adhere to established work schedule, attendance standards, and be punctual to work and meetings.
- Experience: Two (2) years minimum pipeline experience with a combination of gas and liquid pipeline operations.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to accurately solve problems and make independent, rational decisions.
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around process areas and in poor weather conditions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift objects weighing up to 70 lbs and live within 50 miles of company field office.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Operator Qualifications (OQ): Operator Qualifications (OQ) as required by company.
