Job Summary

Alvin Community College is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Part-Time Tutor III to join our team. As a key member of our Learning Commons Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized tutoring and academic support to students in various subject areas
  • Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure seamless integration of tutoring services with course instruction
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and developments in the field of tutoring and instructional support
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • At least 6 credit hours in the subject area(s) you will be tutoring
  • B+ or higher in the subject area(s) you will be tutoring
  • Overall GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
