Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Vice President of Advancement to join our team at Keck Graduate Institute. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our advancement efforts, developing and implementing strategic plans to secure philanthropic support, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve institutional goals
  • Lead a team of advancement professionals to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations
  • Collaborate with the President and other senior leaders to advance the Institute's mission and goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and community leaders
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to track progress and ensure accountability
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in advancement, with a proven track record of success in major gifts fundraising
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a related field, such as business, non-profit management, or higher education
  • Professional fundraising certification, such as CFRE or ACFRE
  • Experience working in a higher education or non-profit setting
  • Knowledge of fundraising software and technology, including CRM systems
