We offer flexible shifts including days, evenings, and nights, with hours ranging from 35 to 40 per week.

The Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic laboratory tests that are crucial for identifying, analyzing, and managing a variety of diseases and medical conditions.

Responsibilities:
Key Functions include:
- Executing the responsibilities of a Medical Laboratory Scientist, ensuring accurate performance, evaluation, and reporting of tests on patient specimens across all assigned areas.
- Utilizing time effectively to complete tasks and assist colleagues.
- Completing and documenting quality control and calibration consistently.
- Maintaining compliance with PPE guidelines at all times.
- Documenting training and education to ensure staff competence and adherence to accreditation standards.
- Staying informed about regulatory and accreditation requirements and participating in quality assurance activities.
Job Requirements:
Education:
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology is required. Alternatively, a BS or BA degree with a Certificate from a NAACLS accredited program is acceptable.
Experience:
Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in a relevant laboratory section.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or an equivalent certification is required within six months of hire.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Candidates must possess knowledge of medications and treatments used in patient care, critical thinking skills for problem-solving, and strong verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in computer operations and the ability to follow instructions are essential.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves medium work, requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force. Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, and occasional crawling or climbing.
