Job Summary

As a Delivery Driver at HD Supply, you will be responsible for making deliveries to customer job sites while adhering to all safety procedures. This includes loading inventory on the truck and unloading at the customer site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections of vehicles and supplies to ensure road safety.
  • Plan routes to and from customers' businesses and adjust for traffic and/or construction.
  • Ensure that manifests are complete and accurate.
  • Deliver merchandise to customers and contact customers if they are not present.
  • Load the truck with daily merchandise to be delivered and unload merchandise for customers.
  • Pull orders to match manifests.
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to resolve customer issues.
Work Environment

This role typically involves working in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.

Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.

Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
