Job Overview

This CNC Machinist Level 2 position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled machinist to join our machine shop team. As a key member of our production team, you'll be responsible for assembling, repairing, and fabricating metal parts using mechanical equipment. Your expertise will help us maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our operations.

About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist with a strong background in machining techniques, precision measuring devices, and blueprints. As a CNC Machinist at Signode, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from sub-units to complete units, and apply your knowledge of metals, tools, and equipment to meet precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mechanical equipment to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts.
  • Select materials and assist in determining the sequence of operations to achieve desired results.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or other descriptions of parts to be fabricated.
  • Apply shop mathematics to practical problems, such as computing dimensions and setting up machine tools.

Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience as a CNC Machinist in a Machine Shop
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Strong understanding of geometry, tool wear offsets, and proper use of inserts, grades, chip formers, fixtures, and tooling
  • Ability to produce conventional machined milled parts accurately
  • Excellent communication skills
Work Environment

You'll be working in a fast-paced machine shop environment with exposure to machinery noise and occasional unpleasant odors.
