Department: Detox | RN
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Facility Details:
- Bed Capacity: Maximum of 20 patients.
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Two RNs on duty, with support from an outpatient clinic RN for admission assessments.
- Required Skills: Proficiency in assessing detox symptoms is essential, with a preference for MedSurg experience. Phlebotomy skills and EKG experience are also necessary.

Unit Operations:
- IV Administration: Not standard; IVs may be initiated in emergencies.
- EMR System: Allscripts
- Charge Nurse: One of the RNs will serve as the charge nurse and will also take patient assignments.
- Restraint Use: Physical restraints are not utilized; patients in severe withdrawal will be transferred.

Support Staff:
- Two techs are available each shift to assist RNs.
- Respiratory Therapy: Not available on-site; treatments managed by RNs.

Shifts & Scheduling:
- Shift Times: 7 AM to 7 PM
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirements: One major winter holiday and one major summer holiday.

Floating Requirements: Potential to float to sister units or clinics as needed, with security escort available at night.

Uniforms: RNs are required to wear Royal Blue scrubs.

Orientation: Five days of unit-specific orientation will be provided.
