JOB SUMMARY:
The Family Medicine Physician will deliver a comprehensive range of primary care services tailored to patients across all age groups. This role encompasses diagnosis, treatment, care coordination, preventive measures, and health maintenance. As a vital member of Northwest Medical Homes, LLC, the physician is expected to align with the organization's philosophy, objectives, and collaborative efforts to enhance patient care. Compliance with organizational policies and relevant state and federal regulations is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough health histories and perform detailed physical assessments.
- Diagnose conditions and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with established guidelines and state regulations.
- Execute minor surgical interventions as necessary.
- Facilitate referrals for patients needing specialized services not available within the organization.
- Review and act upon incoming diagnostic reports (e.g., lab results, imaging studies) promptly.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure compliance among support staff.
- Engage in peer review, quality assurance initiatives, and clinical meetings.
- Contribute to the development and revision of clinical protocols as required.
- Participate in external medical outreach and public relations activities.
- Meet established productivity benchmarks and standards.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
- Oversee the training of medical students as designated by the Medical Director.
- Supervise mid-level healthcare providers, including physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
- Manage support staff to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Oregon State Medical License.
- Current D.E.A. Certificate.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine; Board Certification required within three years if Board Eligible at hiring.
- Malpractice insurability.
- Current CPR Certification.
- ACLS Certification within one year of employment, if applicable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
