Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our team at Mastronardi Produce Limited. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering produce to our customers in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and cargo
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections, including tires, lights, brakes, oil, and water
  • Monitor the condition of equipment and report any issues immediately
  • Deliver product and paperwork to customers in a courteous and timely manner
  • Record cargo information, distance traveled, fuel consumption, and other relevant data in a log book or trip sheet
  • Receive and relay information to a central dispatcher
  • Ensure material is properly protected from outdoor elements
  • Secure loads using load bars, straps, and slings to prevent damage to the truck or goods
  • Maintain tractors in clean and operable condition
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations on all deliveries and pick-ups
  • Follow customers' designated safety procedures
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or equipment damage
  • Comply with MTO and U.S. DOT requirements
  • Train others when required
Requirements
  • Three years of current Tractor/Trailer experience required
  • Valid License class A CDL required
  • No failures of drug screens
  • No recent moving or driving violations
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • Able to pass physical, drug screening, and road tests
  • Maintain a clean driving record
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations
  • Drivers operating vehicles equipped with air brakes must have air brake endorsements
  • Passport, Fast Card, or Enhanced CDL preferred
  • Will to provide Abstract and CVOR
