Daycare Cook

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at American Care Academy. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to our young learners.

• Prepare and serve meals that meet the developmental and individual needs of children 0-5.
• Plan and conduct nutrition activities with children.
• Maintain food item inventory and order sufficient items for menus.
• Ensure compliance with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines.
• Collaborate with Nutrition Specialist/Food Service Manager to address individual nutrition needs and concerns of children.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handlers Certification.
• Minimum of two years of experience cooking and food preparation for large groups of people.

The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for 25 feet is required.
