Job Overview

The Facility Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in supporting the Facility Maintenance Team throughout the project lifecycle. Under the guidance of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks. Duties include receiving, executing, and finalizing maintenance, repair, installation, and assembly work orders within designated timeframes. The role involves diagnosing issues that impact the effective operation of equipment, machinery, tools, and facility systems. Responsibilities also include disassembling, adjusting, repairing, or replacing components and subsequently reassembling equipment and systems. Regular inspections of equipment and facilities are conducted in accordance with operational manuals and standard maintenance protocols. Participation in preventative maintenance and total preventative maintenance activities is expected as directed.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership
  • Serve as a steward of Bearing culture.

  • Engage in jobsite safety responsibilities, including safety meetings and inspections.
  • Build effective relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect company core values and meet project expectations.
Management
  • Oversee maintenance and coordination of process equipment, ensuring comprehension of O&M requirements through to the handover of operationally ready equipment to project owners/staff.
Scheduling
  • Organize and prioritize work schedules utilizing PM system reports and work orders from the Maintenance Supervisor.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in an active outdoor construction site environment.
  • Capability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work in confined spaces near loud equipment.
  • Ability to traverse uneven and steep terrain.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and be exposed to dirt or dust.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment while on duty.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
