Talis Group's client, a reputable law firm in Lexington, KY, is seeking a Paralegal Assistant to support Paralegals with a heavy workload. The role involves requesting records, drafting initial case letters, and setting up cases in case management software. This position also provides relief for the reception desk when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and gather case information.
  • Request and order records and bills.
  • Proofread and edit legal documents.
  • Assist Paralegals with case preparation.
  • Coordinate with subrogation companies and evaluate claims.
  • Maintain professional client communications.
  • Handle phone calls related to intakes and claims.
  • Backup receptionist duties.
  • Save and distribute electronic mail to case files.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of law firm experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to type 50 wpm.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

This position offers an annual salary range of $40-$45k and a generous benefit package. The work schedule is Monday – Friday 8:30-5:00, onsite.
