Position Overview

Catholic Health Initiatives is committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services across a diverse 9-county area. Our primary focus is on providing high-quality care in Brazos County, while also serving surrounding regions including Austin, Burleson, Grimes, Lee, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington counties. The population served by our system is approximately 360,000 individuals.

The selected candidate will become an integral part of our established Hospitalist team. We seek a professional who prioritizes clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong desire to foster relationships within the community and with existing medical personnel. This role involves inpatient care, following a 7 on/7 off schedule.

Key Highlights:

  • Coverage provided at two campuses
  • 7 on, 7 off schedule
  • Open ICU with necessary pulmonary/critical care consultation within 24 hours
  • Target patient load of 16-20
  • Strong specialty support available
  • Defined roles for admitters and rounders
  • Procedures are not mandatory for hospitalists
  • Supervision of Advanced Practice Clinicians, particularly in the admitting role

Qualifications

Education, Certifications, and Experience Required:

  • Current clinical proficiency and sufficient experience demonstrating the ability to deliver services at a high standard of quality and efficiency;
  • A minimum of 2 years in acute care settings;
  • Board certified or board eligible through the relevant ABSM body;
  • Current licensure from the Texas Medical Board is preferred;
  • Additional competencies include effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate change. Familiarity with physician practice and patient population, including participation in multidisciplinary rounds; engagement in accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities of the organization.
Compensation
$134.62 per hour
