Job Summary:

The Automotive Parts Sales Specialist is responsible for selling parts to customers over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell parts to customers, either in person, over the phone, or through email;
  • Pull purchased parts from stock and assist customers in selecting required parts;
  • Assist outside sales reps with their orders and set up daily shipments, deliveries, or pick-ups;
  • Verify WILL CALL and BACKORDER files weekly and return to vendors or stock items not required;
  • Solicit assigned accounts by phone and provide excellent customer service;
  • Work closely with service technicians to ensure they have the necessary parts for repairs;
  • Notify the service desk and customers when parts have been received;
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including bins, aisles, and storage areas;
  • Provide professional and efficient service to customers and co-workers;
  • Issue credit slips for returned parts and follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • One year of experience in an automotive parts department preferred;
  • One year of sales experience preferred;
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Professional personal appearance and punctuality;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Salary:

$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
