Production Director

Desi Fresh Foods is a leading dairy manufacturer with over two decades of experience in producing high-quality products. Our portfolio includes yogurt, smoothies, sour cream, and dips, catering to both single-serve and food service markets.

We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our yogurt processing facility in Frederick County, Virginia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing production staff, ensuring efficient processes, meeting production targets, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

• Production Oversight: Manage and coordinate all production activities, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and support production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor production processes to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Reporting and Analysis: Track and analyze production metrics, such as output, efficiency, and downtime.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage production budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management or a similar role, with a proven track record of achieving production goals and managing teams.
• Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, proficiency in production planning and control techniques, knowledge of quality control processes and safety regulations, and strong analytical skills.
