Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Maintenance Technician to join our team at JBS Carriers, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of Class 8 tractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain all systems of a Class 8 tractor, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform DOT inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Replace clutches, brakes, and tires as necessary to maintain vehicle safety and performance.
  • Diagnose and repair engine problems, including those related to PACCAR Engines.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers to address maintenance issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan.
Requirements
  • Must have experience as a Class 8 tractor mechanic or have adequate trade school training and experience.
  • Must be a team player, hardworking, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must have adequate computer skills to perform duties assigned.
  • Must have proper tools to perform the job.
