Certified Nursing Associate Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Associate to join our Trinity Hospice team. This role comes with a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience.

About the Position:

In this critical role, you will provide essential patient care and support, working closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes. As a Certified Nursing Associate, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, adhering to agency policies, and promoting a culture of compassion and respect.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  2. Provide hands-on patient care, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and hygiene.
  3. Monitor patient progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising RN.
  4. Maintain accurate records of patient care and adhere to infection control protocols.
  5. Support patients' emotional and psychological well-being, promoting a positive atmosphere and encouraging open communication.
  6. Contribute to the efficient operation of the agency, utilizing effective time management skills and maintaining open communication with colleagues.
  7. Administer treatments and procedures according to agency protocol.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Completion of one of the following: A) Training program/competency eval as specified in §418.76(b)(c)of the Medicare regulations; B) Competency eval program that meets §418.76(c); C) Nurse aide training/competency eval program approved by the state and listed in good standing on the state nurse aide registry; D) State Licensure program that meets requirements of §418.76(b).
  • At least one year experience, preferably as a Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, hospice, or long term care facility, or completion of Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program.
  • Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist that meets §418.76 and written Skills Test.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto liability insurance.
