Element Care is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive program of therapeutic activities designed to meet the unique needs of our participants.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to design and implement a range of activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Participant Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized activity plans.
- Activity Implementation: Deliver a variety of activities, including group and individual programs, to engage and motivate participants.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with participants, families, and staff to ensure seamless program delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure program excellence and continuous improvement.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to achieve program goals and objectives.
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate's degree or Activities Director Certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with the geriatric population.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; basic computer skills for use of Outlook, Word, and electronic medical records.
- Certifications: Covid vaccine required.
