Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Norwalk Hospital Association. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Responsibilities- Physical Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying their needs and developing individualized care plans to address their physical, emotional, and mental health requirements.
- Medication Administration and Management: Safely administer medications, adhering to hospital policies and procedures, and monitor patients for potential side effects and interactions.
- Patient Safety and Education: Identify potential safety risks and implement interventions to mitigate them, while also educating patients and their families on healthy habits and disease prevention.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrate leadership skills, promoting a positive work environment and collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, communicating effectively with healthcare teams and families to ensure informed decision-making.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent
- License: Current RN licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Experience: Zero to six months of experience in a healthcare setting
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certification within three months of hire, with additional certifications as per unit standards
This role requires manual dexterity, occupational risk, and physical effort, with potential exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
