We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Rehabilitation Services to join our team at Irving Park Living and Rehab. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising the restorative nursing program for our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement a comprehensive restorative nursing program that promotes the highest level of function for our residents.
- Liaison between Therapy and Nursing: Serve as a liaison between formalized therapy and nursing departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Staff Supervision and Education: Supervise and educate restorative nursing staff on best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Quality Improvement: Confer with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to assess the quality of nursing care and identify areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of restorative nursing measures and progress.
- Collaboration with Therapy Department: Work closely with the therapy department to ensure that restorative nursing measures are aligned with therapy goals.
- Communication with Residents and Families: Provide excellent communication and customer service to residents and their families.
- Education: Must be a nurse registered with the State Board of Nursing.
- Experience: Should possess 3-5 years of equivalent clinical experience.
- Mobility: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Cognitive Function: Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of this position.
- Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
