We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the testing process for HVAC/R systems, from design and planning to execution and completion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute test plans for HVAC/R systems, including chillers and components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify resource requirements and schedule tests.
- Provide technical communications to project customers and facilitate test plans based on customer input.
- Work with test technicians to set up data acquisition software configurations and provide oversight and input during testing.
- Develop and maintain a proficiency in understanding chiller test data to guide customer engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of direct work experience in HVAC/R equipment development, servicing, or testing.
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC/R systems, concepts, and diagnostics.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead project management over successful mechanical HVAC/R installations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide or mentor less experienced technical personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications and data analysis/management skills.
