Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examination Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate ultrasonic equipment to produce high-quality images, adjusting settings as needed to optimize image quality.
  • Image Analysis: Analyze images to identify and record critical data, including anatomical and pathological information.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient information, examination results, and any relevant findings.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control measures to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved Ultrasonography Program.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience in Ultrasonography, with a minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Certifications: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.
